Korea's Love Affair With Golf

The woman's golf motion seemed to begin with Se-Ri Pak's victory in the 1998 US Open. After Pak's huge victory, many parents began putting their daughters into golf lessons. This is a good example of Korean mother's pack mentality. Once a single mother puts their kid into golf, many mothers follow. More recently, ajummas have been putting their daughters into figure skating courses after Yu-Na Kim's victory in the World Figure Skating Championships this past year.

해외실시간중계 faces a potential issue on the all-important public opinion leading if she not only continues to not make the cut on Tour but continues to not be close to making the cut. At what point do we say, Ya know, kiddo, there are a lot of highly talented, highly skilled players around the lpga tour who have won a great deal of events. Consistently. Over long careers. At what stage does the question become, Do you believe you're better than them? And when she does see herself as having the ability to play beyond the ability of the LPGA, if indeed she is, we will need to see it. I don't understand the rush, however. These kids want to grow up so fast.

Think back a bit. On your home program, how many greens do you hit short irons into? 7-iron on down. My home course is 6,402 yards from the white tees. I hit a short iron into three greens normally, five on a fantastic day. How about you? Consider it, write it down.

The bottom line is that there is not any substitute for hard work. You need to put in hours and hours of deliberate attempt to extract the performances from it you desire. You develop your innate or natural abilities by applying yourself to your craft as frequently as you can. Now you might be thinking to yourself that you know of golfers that have put countless hours into their sport and still they fail to achieve the results they desire, so what gives?

There are a few PGA Tour pros who still use old version putters. Corey Pavin comes to mind straight away. He normally still uses an old Bulls-Eye putter from probably the early 1960's. But Pavin is a excellent putter, and he knows how to hit solid putts even with this old thing. Once again, if your usual game is around 100 strokes, that is not you.

Between shots, one friendly girl who seemed to be in her 30's smiles and waves at me while I sweat profusely and gasp for air. Afterwards she takes a rest and provides me a few of the Korean standard snack rice and green tea. I wholeheartedly accept and asked her how long she's been playing golf. "I just started playing last year", she claims in very broken English. "With my two kids in school, I have a great deal of time to practice".

South Korea, Thailand and Japan are responsible for the export of a series of foursomes of golfers with great training and skill to counter each homegrown golfer such as Michelle Wie. Attracting the new generation for this game is of paramount importance in maintaining the place of America in the world of women's golf.

Because of my research, I also have done something that as near as I can figure has never been done before in the 200+ year history of golf - I implemented some simple science into reading greens. To be specific. I measured greens and mapped them at a Greens Book (more on that later in this article).
